All land suitable for grazing are divided among the families or teams of state farms. Deer graze freely, can be removed for several kilometers. The chief shepherd considers flock through binoculars. Unexpected side effect of floods in 2010 in Pakistan - millions of spiders escape from the water to climb a tree. Because of the extent of flooding and its duration, and many trees were completely covered with cobwebs. People living in the area, is seen for the first time, but also reported that the mosquito has become much smaller. The fact that people who have lost everything due to flooding mosquitoes do not bite - doubtful, but at least some relief. (© Russell Watkins)

This place means a lot to me. Lake Fellenzee is at the foot of Hundshtayn (canine stone). As I and my dog grew near the place where she died, I buried her in the lake, and mountain dog became the headstone on the grave of a great dog. After the funeral we went up the mountain in honor of Spock (the name of the dog). This photo hangs in my kitchen in memory of Dr. Spock. (© Nino Benninger)

For the year in Death Valley drops about 4 inches of rain. But somehow we first four years was to witness the storm at sunset in the background. For me, this is the reward for all your time and a great example of the best that can happen only with the photographer. Japan, despite its modernity, adheres to the traditions that are passed down from generation to generation. That's what makes Japan one of the most beautiful and intriguing places on Earth. City of Gion in Kyoto - one of the places that once in, you forget about the rest of Japan. The cobbled streets with little houses of traditional architecture. One morning I looked around in Hawaii in search of what could be photographed. And almost walked past it. Something made me pay attention to the palm leaf. I stopped and noticed a small gecko. Periodically, he pokes his head out of the leaves to see if I did not go. When he saw me he was hiding, but then again stuck out. We played this game until I could not photograph it. The strangest market in the world, probably, in Lome, Togo. Thousands of stuffed animals and the bodies of dead animals are sold here for use in religious and medicinal purposes. This is a wild and scary, but at the same time exciting. (© Jorgen Tharaldsen)

The last few years, I shot a female leopard with cubs, and spent many nights with them. It is no beacon, so when I found this family, tried to stay with them as long as possible. This evening the female hyena ahead and took her prey (gazelle), and sat on the edge of a cliff, with a rising moon in the background. (© Hannes Lochner)
